Post Prom Celebration
MS CELEBRATION 2010
MS Celebration 2010 is a parent/community sponsored, chaperoned, substance-free Post Prom Event designed to provide a safe and fun alternative to other private parties that are normally associated with prom events. Maine South seniors and their dates who attend the prom as well as seniors who choose not to attend the prom are invited. Celebration is a traditional event that graduates look forward to as much as the Prom itself. All seniors are encouraged to attend.
IMPORTANT MEETING DATE
In order to make this event a success it is critical that parents and seniors get involved with the planning. All seniors and parents are invited to join the MS Celebration 2010 Committee. The next meeting is Monday, November 9, at 7 pm in the Faculty Lounge at Maine South. If you are not interested in joining the committee but would like to attend the meeting to provide some feedback we would encourage you to come. We also need volunteers for various campaigns and committees. If we do not get more volunteers we may have to limit this to one venue or cancel the event. We simply will not have enough resources in order to execute this event.
WANTED - VENUE IDEAS
At this point the committee is seeking suggestions on possible venues for the event. We want to make the event fun, interesting, inviting and memorable. The venue should be one that keeps everyone involved and entertained. The day’s activities are exciting but long so it’s important to keep everyone awake and engaged. The traditional sunrise boat cruise is one of the venues being considered. With the cruise, this would be a two-venue event. The first venue would take place immediately after prom with the cruise being the final event.
