Post Prom Celebration

MS CELEBRATION 2010

MS Celebration 2010 is a parent/community sponsored, chaperoned, substance-free Post Prom Event designed to provide a safe and fun alternative to other private parties that are normally associated with prom events. Maine South seniors and their dates who attend the prom as well as seniors who choose not to attend the prom are invited. Celebration is a traditional event that graduates look forward to as much as the Prom itself. All seniors are encouraged to attend. Senior prom will be held on Friday, June 4th at the Westin Hotel.

IMPORTANT MEETING DATE

Seniors and parents please attend our next meeting on Monday, May 3rd at 7pm in the Maine South Faculty Lounge. We are getting closer to the event and there is still much planning to do. Your participation is valuable as we are finalizing key decisions. We are also looking for chaperones for MS Celebration 2010. Please let us know if you are interested and get the word out to junior parents. We will also have a meeting on May 17th and then a final Committee Meeting on June 3rd, followed by the Celebration Chaperone Meeting.

CELEBRATION 2010 EVENT INFORMATION

MS Celebration 2010 will feature the following events:

·         A remarkable “After-Prom Mystery” orchestrated by Mystery Limited will be held at HOULIHAN’s in Park Ridge. Students will get a new identity as they arrive and it will be a 1930’s gangster mystery. Someone will have already been murdered and there will be many suspects. The students will interact and have to solve the mystery that is taking place. Sandwiches and soft drinks will be served.  A “live band” will perform.
·         A “mystic sunrise cruise” on Lake Michigan, complete with breakfast and a DJ. Pictures taken as you board will be an amazing remembrance.
