Maine South offers a preschool program for children who are 4-years-old by September 1st and live in the school boundaries.  The program is ran by high school students with the assistance and direction of a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher.  The guidelines for the preschool are as follows:  Applications for the next year need to be filled out and sent to the FCS teacher by March 31st.  A lottery is drawn for acceptance.  The program accepts 8 boys and 8 girls; all other children will be placed on a waiting list.

Preschool runs from the middle of September until the middle of May.  It meets on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays--no Wednesdays.  The program is from 9:15-11:15 am on those days.  The cost is $200 for the year.
