"GO HAWKS!!"
Letter To Parents
Dear Maine South Parents or Guardians,
As a Licensed, Certified Athletic Trainer, I am qualified to evaluate injuries, apply preventative materials, counsel athletes on nutrition and conditioning, and under a physician's guidance rehabilitate any athletic injuries. The athletic training department at Maine South has a fully operational rehabilitation area, which provides treatment after school for many of the injuries Maine South athletes incur. We have a compliment of tapes and braces to ensure safe athletic play.
I do ask that if your student athlete has an injury or illness and needs to visit a physician, that a note from the physician is turned in to the Athletic Training Department. If your student needs rehabilitation and you would like us to assist, we will need a note from the treating physician and/or physical therapist. If your student athlete needs a medical appliance (i.e. inhaler, epi-pen) we ask that an extra appliance be brought to the Athletic Training Department to be kept in case of emergency.
If you any questions or concerns please call (847) 692-8246, I would be glad to speak with you.
Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Jerry Bornhoff ATC/L, CSCS
