Tuition
Tuition and lab fees must be paid at the time of registration by credit/debit card (online), check or money order (by mail). We accept Visa and Master Card (we no longer accept Discover). Checks should be made payable to Maine South High School. Please put your student’s ID number on your check.
Tuition, minus a $25 processing fee, is refundable before summer school begins. Once class begins, however, tuition is not refundable.

1A $50 out-of-district surcharge per ¼ credit will be added to all registrations for students not living in the District 207 attendance area.

Refunds & Course Credit
Course credit will be given only for completed summer school courses in which a student earns a passing grade. If a student chooses to drop a course prior to the first day of the summer session, a refund will be issued minus a $25 processing fee. For registrations paid by credit card, a credit will be issued back to the card used at the time of registration. For registrations paid by check, a refund will be issued by mail to the current address on file within 6 to 8 weeks. NO refund or course credit will be given for any course dropped due to attendance or behavior issues.
Financial Assistance
Financial assistance for academic courses is available to students who are enrolled in District 207 for the 2012-2013 school year and who qualify for reduced-price lunch or free lunch. For most courses, students who qualify for free lunch for the 2012-2013 school year will receive a discount of $100 for one course only. Students who qualify for reduced-rate lunch will receive a discount of $50 for one course only. Students on free or reduced lunch who take quarter credit classes will receive a discount of $50 for one course only. If a qualified student registers for more than one course, the discount applies only to one of those courses. Financial assistance is not available for Driver Education or for incoming freshman.
