Job & Volunteer Fair

Summer Job and Volunteer Fair Promotional Video

Summer is coming! Students should mark their calendar. Next Wednesday, March 22nd Maine South High School will host their Summer Job and Volunteer Fair during all student lunches! Thirty local employers and volunteer organizations will be present to recruit students for seasonal jobs and volunteer opportunities!

Students will be able to talk with employers to learn more about the responsibilities, hours, pay and application process for roles! Many companies will also have on-site application completion. There is no need for a student to pre-register.

While resumes are not required for many seasonal applications, we highly encourage students to begin crafting their resume as it is helpful for application completion, interviews and can be used in the college application process. Students had a resume lesson in their advisory on March 1 and have had on-going opportunities to attend Resume Workshops. Students can sign up in SchooLinks to attend this Tuesday, March 14 and this Friday, March 17 during their lunch period.

Because it is during the school day, this event is open only to Maine South students and registered employers. Here is a list of employers who are scheduled to attend! We can’t wait to see your student! If your student is under 16, they can obtain a work permit application from the CCRC once they have secured a job offer.

If they need support or have questions, they can follow up with Ms. Hughes, South’s Career Coordinator by email [email protected] or by setting up an appointment.
