Dear Advanced Placement Parents/Guardians and Students,
We have been closely monitoring updates from the College Board regarding Advanced Placement Exams. While we don’t have all the answers right now, we wanted to share what we know to date. We promise to continue to update parents with AP information it is provided to us.
The College Board has released important announcements that can be found on their website: AP Updates for Schools Impacted by Coronavirus. This website will be continually updated and is a good source of information regarding AP testing.
In summary, the College Board is currently developing opportunities for students to take AP Exams at home. The exams will be adjusted based on the amount of content that has been covered so far this year.
Teachers are committed to preparing your child(ren) for whatever testing experience the College Board designs. As we move to e-Learning, it will be important that your child(ren) follow(s) the direction of teachers to adequately prepare for the exams.
The deadline to pay continues to be April 24; however, do not make any payments for now as things continue to change as the situation around COVID-19 develops. As we know more, we will update the deadline and payment methods accordingly.
Please know this is a high priority for District 207 and keep you informed throughout the process.
