Maine South Promise is a new program initiated by one of our PE/Health teachers, Beth Vainowski. The staff at Maine South High School has donated several items for families to access when they find themselves in need. Parents, guardians, or students can fill out this form prior to the first of every month. The information from the form will go directly to Ms. Vainowski, the program coordinator. Requests made directly to Ms. Vainowski ensures that families are connected to one contact person for pick up. Below is the process for South’s Promise:
- Student/Family fills out the South Promise Request Form before the first of each month. This can be done with or without the help of a staff member.
- Ms. Vainowski, the program coordinator, receives the form and contacts the requestor to arrange a pick-up time.
- Orders will be filled within two weeks of the month.
- The requestor picks up the items.
In emergency situations, the program coordinator will go through the process at any time of the month, but for the most part, we prefer for students and families to fill out a form by the 1st of the month and distribution of materials to occur the first two weeks of each month.
