The Maine South High School Fine Arts Department will present a live stage adaptation of the classic children’s novel Charlotte’s Web, written by E. B. White and adapted for the stage by Joseph Robinette. The play will be performed on October 14 and 16 at 7:30 pm and October 17 at 2:00 pm.
E.B. White’s classic tale of an unlikely friendship between a young pig named Wilbur and a barn spider named Charlotte remains one of the most beloved stories of all time. Tony Award nominated playwright Joseph Robinette’s faithful stage adaptation is a beautiful tale of Charlotte’s determination to find a way to save the life of young Wilbur.
The play will be presented by a cast of 28 Maine South students and more than 50 technical crew members. Tickets are $7.00 and available for purchase at the door. Masks are required and socially distanced seating between families is encouraged.
