Dear District 207 Family,
We want to acknowledge the pain many are experiencing, especially our students, families and staff of color, as a result of recent events rooted in the systemic racism that is part of the history of the United States. This has long prevented members of our community from realizing the respect and dignity to which they are entitled. We are committed to building an equitable and inclusive learning environment.
As leaders of the diverse District 207 school community, we acknowledge the struggles Black people and people of color experience. While we do not have the answers, as a learning community we are committed to identifying and dismantling the structures that permit and contribute to systemic racism.
Please know that we are here to help support our students who need assistance during this time and their safety is our top priority. If a student needs support, please complete the attached form and a member of our support team will be in contact. Click here for the form.
