Footlighters Informational Poster 2026
One of Maine South’s longest standing traditions is its annual Variety Show (or V Show, as we call it).
V Show is a high-energy celebration of student creativity, talent, and individuality! Featuring a wide range of student-performed acts, from singing and dancing to comedy, music, and other unique talents, the show gives students the opportunity to step into the spotlight and share their passions with the community, both on and off stage. Every year brings something new, making the Variety Show a joyful showcase of the creativity, courage, and spirit that make Maine South Theatre special.
Students may be involved in several ways:
- Being in a solo or group act
- Participating in crew (construction, paint, lighting, or sound) – *More info to come on crew sign up for the 2026 V Show soon!
- Being a student director of different acts
- Being a part of STAGE BAND
- Being a part of TRUNK
For information on any of these areas in which you can be involved, please consult the attached V Show Informational Packet linked here:
Each year, a different theme is selected and that theme is typically reflected in the Trunk sketches and in some of the song selections that the musicians or stage band performs. This year’s theme, “Back to the V-Show”, is a play off of the hit movie, Back To The Future, where acts within our show will be traveling throughout time to visit music and pop culture from throughout the decades!
