Class of 2030: Incoming 9th Grade Experience

Class of 2030 Families: We are thrilled to welcome your students to Maine South High School! While it seems like your students’ 8th grade year has just begun, our team at Maine South is already actively planning for their transition to high school. We understand that this transition can feel both exciting and stressful at the same time, so we are committed to providing you with ongoing communication to make the transition as smooth as possible. DISTRICT 207 ONLINE ENROLLMENT OPENS OCTOBER 29TH FOR CLASS OF 2030

All families planning to send their child to Maine South for the 2026-2027 School Year (including 8th Graders currently attending Emerson, Lincoln, Pennoyer, or a private school) should engage in the following:

• Complete District 207 Online Enrollment  
  • Provide basic demographic and contact information through Infinite Campus (our online Student Information System)
  • We will provide you with a direct link as soon as enrollment goes live on 10/29! 
  • Please Note: Completing our D207 Online Enrollment ensures that you will receive regular updates from D207 and Maine South about enrollment and Class of 2030 events 
• Submit Student’s Original Birth Certificate   
  • Bring your student’s original birth certificate and your driver’s license to the Maine South Main Office by July 1st 
  • Our office staff will verify the birth certificate and your identification, make a copy to retain for records, and return the original birth certificate to you
  • Please Note: Families are encouraged to bring their student’s original birth certificate to our Freshmen Kick-Off Event on December 2nd – there is no need to submit prior to that date! 
• Fulfill Health Office Requirements 
  • Provide the State of Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination completed by a licensed physician, APN, or PA with proof of required immunizations according to IDPH guidelines 
  • Please Note: A sports physical cannot take the place of the required 9th grade physical
  • Provide the IDPH Dental Examination Form to document proof of oral health examination by a licensed dentist
